Are you a hands-on problem solver with experience in hydraulics, fabrication, machining, and testing? We are seeking a Test Technician to join our engineering team and play a key role in developing, evaluating, and improving innovative products. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced testing equipment, prototype products, and cross-functional engineering teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
As a Test Technician, you will support product development and validation activities by performing testing, fabricating components, and maintaining test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Key Responsibilities
Perform product testing according to established procedures and provide detailed results to engineering teams.
Set up and operate servo-hydraulic testing equipment.
Fabricate parts, fixtures, and components needed for testing activities.
Record, document, and prepare test reports and data logs.
Inspect and verify calibration status of testing equipment prior to use.
Maintain hydraulic units, grease systems, fixtures, and testing equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair damaged test fixtures and components.
Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and testing procedures.
Collaborate closely with engineers and team members on product evaluation and development activities.
Ensure compliance with ISO and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of safety and quality.
Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or GED.
2 to 5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
Hydraulics
Machine shop operations
Fabrication
Welding
Valid driver's license.
Preferred Skills
Experience operating mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, and other machine shop equipment.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and layouts.
Basic welding and metal fabrication skills.
Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Experience with testing equipment and laboratory environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent attention to detail.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Team-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to safety.
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally assist with loads up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Comfortable working in a loud industrial setting.
