Phong Gia Group is developing Galaxy Nexus AI Group (GNA) as its AI-focused business. We are recruiting an AI Workflow & Automation Engineer to join the GNA team in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The team builds AI agents, workflow automation, API integrations, and business applications for small and medium-sized enterprises. This is an on-site engineering role with close collaboration with our technology team in Singapore.
The Role
You will be one of the first engineers joining the GNA team within Phong Gia Group in Ho Chi Minh City. You will build AI agents, automated workflows, and reusable business automation solutions, working closely with our Singapore-based technology team. You will build AI agents, automated workflows, and business process automations, mainly on our n8n-based Business Automation for SME product, and later across AI Applications and Smart Studio. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone who works independently and turns solutions into reusable automation templates, with close support from our group technology team in Singapore. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain AI agents, workflows, and business process automations in n8n and adjacent tooling. Extend and productize the Business Automation for SME product, turning the existing n8n-based prototype into robust, customer-ready automation. Build a library of reusable automation templates and workflow components that can be deployed repeatedly across customers and use cases. Develop API integrations and connectors to enterprise applications (CRM, ERP, messaging, document, and productivity systems) using REST APIs and webhooks. Integrate LLMs into workflows: prompt and agent design, tool use, and knowledge integration via RAG and knowledge bases. Deliver AI-powered automations across the AI Applications and Smart Studio product lines as they grow. Handle data mapping, transformation, and persistence across systems, with proper error handling, retries, and monitoring in every workflow. Test, document, and version your workflows and templates so others can reuse and operate them.
Must-Have Qualifications
Fluent written and spoken English is a must. You will work daily with our Singapore-based group team. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, or willing to relocate. 3+ years of hands-on software or automation engineering experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python. Practical experience with n8n or similar workflow platforms (Make, Zapier, Airflow, Temporal), including custom nodes, functions, or code steps. Solid experience building and consuming REST APIs and webhooks, including authentication, pagination, and rate limiting. Working experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source models) and prompt/agent design. Competence with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, plus basic Docker and cloud deployment skills. Able to work independently, own tasks end to end, and communicate progress clearly.
Nice to Have
Experience with RAG pipelines, vector databases, or knowledge-base integration in production. Experience with multi-agent frameworks or agent orchestration patterns. Background integrating business systems such as CRMs, ERPs, e-commerce, or messaging platforms for SMEs. Experience packaging automations as products or templates for repeated deployment across customers. Familiarity with CI/CD, observability, and secure handling of credentials in automation environments.
