Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Watermelon Tester / QA Tester to support the testing and quality assurance of Client’s Watermelon application and related insurance systems. The role will be responsible for analyzing requirements, creating and executing test scenarios, identifying defects, and ensuring that system enhancements and releases meet business and technical requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other QA teams to ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of applications supporting insurance business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into test scenarios, test cases, and test conditions.
- Prepare test data and execute Functional, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression, and End-to-End testing.
- Test Watermelon application features and integrations with other insurance, policy, customer, and payment systems.
- Validate end-to-end business processes such as policy application, policy servicing, payments, customer information, and other insurance-related transactions.
- Perform API testing and validate system-to-system integrations using tools such as Postman or similar tools.
- Perform database validation and data reconciliation using SQL queries when required.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects/issues using Jira or other defect-management tools.
- Conduct defect retesting and regression testing to ensure fixes do not impact existing functionality.
- Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to investigate and resolve defects.
- Participate in test planning, test execution, defect triage, and release validation activities.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress, defect status, risks, and issues.
- Prepare test execution reports and other QA documentation.
- Support UAT and production validation activities when required.
- Ensure testing activities comply with established QA standards, processes, and release procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, test coverage, and QA practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- minimum 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing using watermelon application.
- Experience in web-based applications and system integration testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience in the insurance, banking, financial services, or other regulated industries is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience creating detailed test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and test reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and business teams.

- ISTQB certification is an advantage
Pay: Php100,000.00 - Php115,000.00 per month
