Blu Omega is seeking a Software Developer to support the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency’s National Background Investigation Services program.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications supporting DCSA/NBIS mission requirements.
- Contribute to front-end, back-end, and full-stack development across multiple application workstreams.
- Develop responsive user interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and Tailwind CSS.
- Build and maintain back-end services utilizing Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs supporting application workflows.
- Work with PostgreSQL databases, including queries and data access.
- Support applications and development activities within AWS environments.
- Participate in DevOps activities such as automated builds, testing, deployment, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot application defects and perform root-cause analysis and remediation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, testers, and stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and technical discussions.
- Produce maintainable, well-documented code and utilize approved AI-assisted development tools when appropriate.
- Adapt to changing priorities and support multiple parallel workstreams.
Required Qualifications
- Approximately 2 to 7 years of professional software development experience.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: TypeScript, Angular, Tailwind CSS, HTML, Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, Python, AWS, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with front-end, back-end, or full-stack application development.
- Knowledge of software fundamentals, version control, testing, and debugging.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a distributed team.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and learning skills.
- Capable of obtaining and maintaining government access, including Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing active Secret clearance.
- Full-stack experience with Angular and Spring Boot.
- AWS or AWS GovCloud experience.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL and API-driven architectures.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools.
- Prior support of DCSA, NBIS, or similar federal modernization programs.
- Existing DCSA CAC, GFE, or system access.
- Experience with approved AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot.
- Knowledge of AWS Kiro or similar AI-enabled environments.
- Agile or Scrum experience.
- Ability to work remotely and independently in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $145,000.00
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
