This role combines architectural ownership, technical leadership, and close collaboration with global teams. You will translate business needs into practical solutions, guide platform modernization, and establish standards that support reliable data use across the organization.

What you will do

-
Define data architecture strategies, principles, and standards for enterprise initiatives.

-
Design and evolve Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Lakehouse platforms on AWS.

-
Establish patterns for data ingestion, integration, transformation, processing, storage, and delivery.

-
Translate business and operational requirements into technical solutions.

-
Evaluate scalability, performance, availability, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

-
Create and maintain architecture diagrams, decision records, standards, and documentation.

-
Establish practices for data governance, quality, security, lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance.

-
Guide cloud migrations and the modernization of existing data platforms.

-
Provide technical direction on ETL, ELT, distributed processing, and data integration.

-
Partner with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and business stakeholders throughout implementation.

-
Review solution designs and components to ensure alignment with architectural standards.

-
Evaluate emerging technologies, including Databricks, Snowflake, and Kafka, where relevant to business needs.

-
Promote reusable solutions, technical maintainability, and knowledge sharing while mentoring other professionals.

What you bring

-
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

-
Advanced English proficiency (C1/C2), with the ability to communicate effectively in international teams.

-
Experience designing and implementing enterprise data architectures in cloud environments.

-
Deep knowledge of AWS data services, including AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon S3.

-
Experience designing and evolving Data Lakes and Data Warehouses, plus knowledge of Lakehouse architectures and modern data platform patterns.

-
Strong expertise in ETL/ELT architecture and data modeling.

-
Experience with Apache Spark or equivalent distributed processing technologies.

-
Experience working in complex enterprise environments with global teams.

-
Clear communication, critical thinking, and the autonomy to take ownership of architectural decisions.

Experience that will help you stand out

-
Financial Services, Banking, Wealth Management, Asset Management, or other regulated environments.

-
Amazon Athena, AWS Lambda, AWS Lake Formation, or Amazon EMR.

-
Databricks or Snowflake.

-
Kafka or other messaging and streaming technologies.

-
Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.

-
CI/CD and DataOps practices.

Does this sound like you?

-
Have you designed an enterprise data platform on AWS? What architectural decisions did you own?

-
How have you used AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon S3 in your solutions?

-
How do you choose between a Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Lakehouse architecture?

-
How do you balance scalability, performance, resilience, security, and cost?

-
What is your experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and distributed processing solutions?

-
Have you led or supported a cloud migration or data platform modernization initiative?
