Clearly, a wide range of responsibilities/skills are involved in this position. Small private collection of vehicles, requiring regular maintenance on everything from commercial vans to vintage Cadillacs’, and random restoration projects. Some work done in-house, some delegated/managed to outside vendors.
We own commercial and residential properties and occasionally will require some property management efforts. Sometimes we will need to conduct the work in-house (changing air filters, bulbs, painting, etc.) Many times, it means coordinating outside vendors. The position will also include dealing with projects at the owners’ private home on occasion.
Specific skills would be: Extensive automotive repair background, electrical diagnostic/repair, custom metal/sheet metal fabrication, ability to manage any outsourced automotive or real estate needs, aptitude to manage facilities (and knowing when to call in the pros). While we have a growing tool roster, feel free to bring yours, or help us identify things we need. Warehouse IS fully climate controlled!!
This is a highly personal position in that it reports directly to our Owner/CEO and his family. Family errands, airport runs, random item pick-ups, are part of the day-to-day. The level of trust that is required is hard to under emphasize.
We’re hoping to find someone who is comfortable working a 32-hour work week. Our desire is to have one weekday a week where there is no activity going on in the warehouse. Ideal for anyone who wants to have every Friday off (with exceptions granted as needed).
Primary warehouse/office location is near downtown Dallas in the Design District. Owners home is in Oak Cliff, and additional business location is in Lewisville. Company vehicle while on-the-clock can be provided. You MUST have a good driving record and be insurable.
