Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately.
- Handle cash drawer operations with precision, including cash handling, balancing registers, and reconciling cash at shift end.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed.
- Maintain knowledge of store products and merchandising to effectively promote items and upsell products to customers.
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the sales floor remains clean, inviting, and well-organized.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries or taking orders over the phone.
- Support supervising staff in daily operations, including training new team members on cashiering procedures and customer service standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively and clearly.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations.
- Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and inventory stocking procedures.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to foster positive interactions both in person and over the phone.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves or organizing displays.
