This is a founding-stage full-stack engineering role at an early-stage energy software company building an end-to-end platform for industrial battery storage. You will own core product development spanning real-time optimization, forecasting, and operator-facing dashboards, with direct influence on product direction and company trajectory.
What You'll Do
-
Own and build backend services and optimization algorithms that drive real-time energy asset optimization and forecasting.
-
Develop frontend dashboards that enable battery operators to monitor and control assets.
-
Architect and scale cloud infrastructure to support thousands of battery systems.
-
Deploy production-ready optimizations and iterate based on real-world feedback.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to define and prioritize product features.
What We're Looking For

Up to five years of work experience, with a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's, strong academic record required) and graduation no earlier than 2023.
-
Full-stack proficiency: React and TypeScript on the frontend (Next.js preferred) and Python on the backend.
-
Experience with Tailwind CSS.
-
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
-
Experience with mixed-integer optimization or deploying optimizations in production systems is a strong plus.
-
Startup experience at an early-stage company (under 3 years old and fewer than 50 employees).
-
Genuine interest in the energy sector, particularly battery storage or renewable energy.
-
Fluent or near-fluent German, a hard requirement as most customers operate in German.
-
Demonstrated high achievement beyond standard coursework or employment, such as founding experience or participation in selective extracurricular programs.
-
A semester or extended study abroad at a recognized international university.
