Leidos is seeking a Mid-Senior Test Engineer to support a high-impact, multi-agency program serving the United States Space Force (USSF)/Space Systems Command (SSC), the United States Air Force (USAF), and other key mission stakeholders. The selected candidate will play an important role on a critical program focused on enhancing, testing, and deploying a large-scale Satellite Communications (SATCOM) system within an existing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in public key infrastructure (PKI) and Agile development, along with exceptional problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Senior Engineers and customer test stakeholders to define test priorities, align scope, and establish integrated test event schedules.

Partner with System-Level Test Teams and Scrum Masters to assess tasking and resource requirements for test environment preparation, test procedure development, and execution of informal and formal test events.

Drive the identification, tracking, and resolution of cross-team dependencies critical to the successful execution of program release test events.

Serve as a key technical interface among software engineers, systems engineers, information assurance engineers, and other program stakeholders within an Agile Scrum environment.

Apply Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices within the program’s Agile framework to maintain engineering rigor, consistency, and quality across assigned efforts.

Plan, execute, and oversee regression testing using the full suite of Operational Test Scenarios for customer-delivered builds and images.

Engage with customer points of contact, as needed, to prepare for and support formal test milestones, including Test Readiness Reviews and Test Results Reviews, coordinate customer witnessing of formal tests, and ensure adequate test support for customer events.

Develop, maintain, and deliver test artifacts and documentation, including Test Plans, Test Descriptions, and Test Reports.

Collaborate with the Automated Test Development team when necessary and manage and monitor test automation within the continuous integration pipeline to support timely validation, issue identification, and reporting of test results.
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, and at least 8 years of related experience. Additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a degree.

In-depth experience testing across the full system development life cycle, including development and implementation of test plans, test cases, and test processes.

Demonstrated experience developing and executing formal system tests to verify compliance with customer requirements.

Experience authoring detailed test procedures based on acceptance criteria derived from system and software requirements.

Experience participating in formal test events, including Acceptance Test, User Acceptance Test, Software Final Release Test, and Maintenance Release Test.

Experience collaborating with software developers to develop and refine formal test procedures.

Proven ability to document test results in support of corrective actions, formal reporting, and audit activities.

Hands-on experience designing and performing regression testing for software-based systems.

Experience analyzing test data, using configuration management tools, and validating software applications.

Demonstrated experience conducting test activities within an Agile Scrum environment.

Experience working with physical equipment in a test lab environment.

Experience collecting, analyzing, presenting, and reporting test results both verbally and in writing.

Experience using elevated privileges to set up and execute manual test procedures.

Experience testing systems against established system and functional specifications.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both management and technical personnel.

Clearance Required: Must have TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

Experience using automated test tools.
-
Experience with programming and scripting languages (i.e., Java, shell, Python, etc).

SAFe Agilist or DevOps certification.
-
Experience working in an Agile Development Environment or on an Agile Team.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
