Backend / Data Engineer (NodeJS & Python)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using NodeJS, MongoDB, and other relevant technologies.
- Create and implement data engineering solutions, APIs, webhooks, and backend development processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and analyze business needs for developing Python scripts.
- Research and implement new data engineering and analytic methodologies with minimal guidance.
- Refactor and optimize existing NodeJS scripts to adhere to modern principles.
- Mentor junior team members in data engineering best practices and technologies.
- Build, train, and deploy machine learning models using Python and cloud platforms.
- Write robust and efficient code in scripting languages such as Python and Shell.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from a reputable institute with a focus on Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in backend development, data engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of NodeJS, JavaScript, and REST APIs.
- Experience with data processing, analysis, and visualization using Python and relevant tools.
- Familiarity with database technologies like SQL, as well as cloud services such as Azure or AWS.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation.
- Prior experience with automation, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting languages like Perl and Shell.
- Knowledge of frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.
