About the role
UC Auto is building practical AI workflows for vehicle acquisition, inventory, sales, marketing, customer follow-up, and internal operations.
We are looking for a highly organized, curious, and hands-on Junior AI Workflow Automation Assistant. You will use tools such as Codex, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Google Workspace, CRM systems, and browser-based AI tools to operate, test, improve, and document real business workflows.
This is not a traditional software-engineering position. You do not need to be a senior programmer. However, you must be comfortable using natural language to direct AI agents, carefully checking their work, finding errors, organizing evidence, and pushing a workflow from “almost working” to reliably usable.
What you will do
- Run and test AI-assisted workflows for vehicle inventory, customer leads, marketing, document processing, and pricing support.
- Use Codex, Claude Code, ChatGPT, and similar tools to improve prompts, workflows, checklists, and reusable skills.
- Turn repeated business tasks into clear AI-assisted procedures
- Check AI outputs against source documents, vehicle data, CRM records, websites, and business rules
- Identify errors, missing data, unclear instructions, and workflow blockers
- Record results, screenshots, links, exceptions, and next steps in Notion, Google Sheets, or internal tools
- Maintain workflow test cases, SOPs, knowledge-base candidates, and issue logs
- Support customer lead follow-up, marketing workflow execution, campaign tracking, and data cleanup when needed
- Escalate issues clearly after checking available instructions, public sources, and internal systems
- Work with managers, sales staff, marketing staff, and developers to improve real operating processes
Requirements
- Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese are required to communicate effectively with our bilingual team and customers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
- Comfortable learning and using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code, Gemini, or similar platforms
- Able to write clear prompts and explain what result you are trying to achieve
- Comfortable with Google Sheets, Google Drive, Notion, web research, and browser-based tools
- Able to verify information instead of assuming an AI response is correct
- Reliable, organized, proactive, and able to manage several small tasks without losing track of details
- Interest in automation, AI agents, business operations, marketing, automotive, or data work
Nice to have
- Experience using Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, Zapier, Make, or similar automation tools
- Experience with CRM systems, lead management, marketing operations, or data cleanup
- Basic understanding of APIs, CSV files, workflow logic, or databases
- Experience in the automotive industry
- A portfolio, workflow example, automation project, or AI-assisted work sample
