Reporting to the Vice President, Projects and Estimating, the Project Manager is responsible for managing assigned projects and ensuring their efficient, safe, and profitable execution. The Project Manager works closely with other Project Managers and with various departments across the organization, including Production, HSE, Quality Control, Pre-Production, and Materials, to coordinate resources, promote effective communication, and ensure project objectives related to quality, cost, schedule, and performance are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and provide regular updates to clients.

- Coordinate the progress of fabrication activities by communicating periodic objectives to the production teams.

- Respond to clients’ technical and commercial inquiries and participate in project follow-up meetings.

- Recommend technical solutions and adjustments to ensure the manufacturability of projects.

- Review and revise fabrication drawings and weld maps.

- Review and understand applicable industry standards and project-specific requirements.

- Provide technical support throughout the fabrication process, including the management of non-conformities, rework, and required adjustments.

- Ensure that required materials are available in accordance with production schedules.

- Set up manufacturing routings, including weld joints, in the ERP system in accordance with approved weld maps.

- Coordinate the shipment and receipt of parts to and from subcontractors.

- Coordinate the shipment of finished products to clients.

- Collaborate with the Finance Department to provide the information required to monitor project profitability.

Education and Experience Requirements:

- University degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.

- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).

- Excellent proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken.

- 5 to 10 years of experience in industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing project management.

- Experience in metal fabrication or custom manufacturing is considered an asset.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency with technical drawing and design software, including AutoCAD and Inventor.

- Strong knowledge of welding, assembly, and metal fabrication processes.

- Knowledge of ASME Section VIII, Division 1 is considered an asset.

- Abilitys to interpret complex drawings and understand technical calculations.
