Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in testing web applications, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software. Experience in test automation and writing automation scripts will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing for web applications.
- Analyze business and technical requirements to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure product quality.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Execute manual test cases and ensure timely delivery of quality releases.
- Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing before production deployments.
- Maintain clear documentation of test plans, test results, and defect reports.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.
- Develop and maintain automation test scripts (preferred).
Required Skills
- 3–6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Strong experience in testing web applications.
- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Experience with manual testing methodologies and defect lifecycle.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience in automation testing using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with API testing using Postman or REST Assured.
- Basic understanding of SQL and database validation.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as Git is an advantage.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
