Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Windows Patching & Software Deployment Engineer with strong expertise in Windows Server administration, patch management, software deployment, automation, and operational reporting. The ideal candidate will have excellent troubleshooting capabilities, advanced PowerShell scripting skills, and a strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure services.
Experience with SCCM/MECM, MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), T-SQL, and ITIL processes will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute enterprise-wide Windows Server patching and software deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Windows Server OS issues during incidents and production outages.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate patching, deployment, compliance tracking, and reporting.
- Monitor patch compliance and ensure adherence to organizational SLAs and security standards.
- Generate operational and compliance reports using MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL queries.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to plan and implement patching activities.
- Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend solutions for continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Expert-level experience in Windows Server patching and software deployment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows Server operating systems.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
- Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP services.
- Experience with MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and report generation.
- Strong technical documentation and authoring skills.
- Knowledge of incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced enterprise environment and manage critical production systems.
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing Microsoft SCCM/MECM infrastructure.
- Knowledge of T-SQL for report development and data analysis.
- Exposure to enterprise monitoring and automation tools.
- Understanding of Windows security and compliance requirements.
Preferred Certifications
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
- Microsoft certifications related to Windows Server, SCCM/MECM, or Azure Administration.
