What You'll do:
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM, XDR, EDR, and related security monitoring tools;
- Triage, classify, correlate, and investigate security events;
- Handle security incidents from initial detection through resolution or escalation;
- Identify suspicious activities, assess potential impact, and execute appropriate response procedures;
- Manage incident tickets in accordance with SLAs and operational processes;
- Document investigations, actions taken, resolutions, and shift handovers;
- Escalate incidents and technical issues to the appropriate teams when required;
- Troubleshoot network and security-related issues across enterprise environments;
- Support and monitor technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, LAN, WAN, routing, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS;
- Execute security-related changes following established change management processes;
- Perform validation and quality assurance checks after changes, remediation activities, or project implementations;
- Identify opportunities to improve monitoring rules, incident response processes, documentation, and operational workflows;
- Support automation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and reduce repetitive tasks;
- Participate in shift handovers and maintain effective communication across operational teams;
- Work Model On-site.
Who You Are:
- You have at least 2 years of professional experience in a SOC, Cyber Defense, Security Monitoring, or NOC/SOC environment;
- You have experience managing security alerts in enterprise or production environments;
- You have hands-on experience with at least one SIEM, XDR, EDR, or security monitoring solution such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, CrowdStrike, Darktrace, GuardDuty, Microsoft Defender, or Palo Alto Cortex;
- You are experienced in alert triage, event correlation, incident investigation, and escalation processes;
- You have worked with ticket management systems, SLAs, operational documentation, and incident handovers;
- You have experience working in 24/7 operational environments and/or shift-based support teams;
- You have solid knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, LAN, WAN, and network troubleshooting methodologies;
- You have an understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP;
- You are familiar with MPLS technologies and enterprise network infrastructures;
- You have experience following security or infrastructure change management practices;
- You have strong English communication skills, both written and spoken;
- You are available to work from Porto or relocate to Porto;
- You can clearly communicate security and network-related topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- You are analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying and resolving security threats and operational issues;
- You thrive in fast-paced environments and remain calm when responding to critical incidents.
