What You'll Do
Daily & Operational
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Power BI semantic models, reports, and dashboards, monitoring scheduled refreshes and resolving data or performance issues as they arise.
- Gather and document reporting requirements from business stakeholders, translating them into clear specifications for new or updated reports.
- Build, test, and optimize DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and visualizations for accuracy, performance, and usability.
- Validate and reconcile data across source systems to ensure reports remain accurate, timely, and trustworthy.
- Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and business opportunities, and communicate findings in a clear, actionable format.
- Respond to day-to-day ad hoc reporting requests and support end users with reporting questions, access issues, and troubleshooting.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for Power BI and reporting best practices, mentoring less experienced analysts and business users on data modeling and report design.
- Partner with IT and Business Systems teams to improve, automate, and govern reporting capabilities, including data source integration and semantic model architecture.
- Lead requirements-gathering and design sessions with business leaders across departments, balancing competing priorities and setting realistic timelines for deliverables.
- Develop and deliver training and documentation to help business users interpret dashboards, self-serve on reporting tools, and adopt data-driven practices.
Strategic & Continuous Improvement
- Define and evolve the roadmap for enterprise reporting and analytics, aligning Power BI and Microsoft Fabric initiatives with broader business goals.
- Establish and champion data governance standards, including naming conventions, security roles, and consistent metric definitions across reports.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate, automate, and modernize legacy reporting processes, reducing manual effort and improving data reliability.
- Evaluate emerging tools and capabilities within the Microsoft data ecosystem and recommend adoption where they add business value.
- Advocate for a data-driven culture by proactively surfacing insights and recommendations to leadership, rather than waiting for requests.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of Business Intelligence, Reporting Analyst, or Power BI experience.
- Strong Power BI Data Modeling, DAX, and SQL Skills.
- Experience creating dashboards and data visualizations.
- Understanding of Data Warehouse and Data Engineering concepts.
- Ability to translate business needs and questions into reporting solutions.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, NetSuite, Salesforce, UKG, or Procore is a plus.
- Construction Industry background preferred

Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Information Science, or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience in a related field.
