World Wide Technology, Inc. has an opportunity available for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer on the IT Customer Ordering team supporting our eCommerce applications. These applications support our inside sales teams, account managers, and our external customers. The team’s applications are high-visibility and currently being used by our WWT internal users and external customers around the globe. You will work in a fast-paced environment on a team consisting of Developers, Analysts, Architects, and Product Owners. We put a great emphasis on our culture of collaboration, humility, and a passion to learn no matter your experience level.

Quality Assurance Engineers work in a very dynamic and challenging environment. This is not a traditional QA-comes-last development environment but a place where QAEs work continuously in partnership with all other team members to use automated and manual testing to ensure that the team is "building the right product" as well as "building the product right." QAEs quickly gain domain knowledge and work with developers in a test-driven development environment. This means that our QAEs co-exist and collaborate regularly with developers to create tests at many different levels of visibility and coverage. Having a broad skill set is important, but the desire to expand that skill set, through new technologies and experiences is even more essential. QAEs are assertive and extremely motivated individuals who have excellent analytical and communication skills and are continually taking on new professional and technical challenges.

As a member of our IT Customer Ordering team, you will:

- Partner in the design, development, and testing of software in an agile environment that utilizes both custom-developed, open-source, and third-party purchased tools.

- Alongside the rest of the team, work closely with business stakeholders to ensure our solutions meet requirements, meet quality goals, and deliver optimal performance.

- Provide quality assurance leadership within the team and the broader Digital Experiences department.

- Champion the overall testing strategy for the team and department.

- Determine appropriate metrics that enable the team to understand and continuously improve their processes, techniques, and technologies from a quality perspective.

- Enhance, improve, and augment a suite of automated tests built in an appropriate end-to-end testing framework that covers our eCommerce applications and surrounding ecosystem.

You will be expected to:

- Steer the team towards collaborative, cohesive testing that results in the highest quality software.

- Foster an environment where automated integration, load tests, performance testing, and UI tests are comprehensive to ensure the quality of a large-scale system.

- Execute manual testing to ensure production readiness and create automated UI and integration tests.

- Design tests that clearly convey the business rules and code they are checking (i.e., manual User Story tests or Automated E2E Tests) so that both business users and developers can understand their intentions.

- Have the leading voice in whether or not a feature or release candidate is in a solid enough state to go to production.

- Play the role of the “voice of the user,” providing testing and usability feedback to developers and business users early in the iteration to guide development.

- Perform exploratory testing, cross-browser, and boundary testing of new and existing features.

- Carry out root-cause analysis of defects when they occur.

- Be a catalyst for change, ask questions, and challenge others.

- Collaborate with developers on creating testable "Definition of Done" acceptance criteria for each User Story.

- Provide clarity to stories, including asking questions about functional and non-functional requirements and advocating for a good user experience.

- Provide mentoring and guidance on QA Engineering and test automation best practices across all the eCommerce engineering teams.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement process.

- Exhibit a passion for technology and continuous learning.

- Have a leadership presence among your Quality Assurance peers within the Digital Experience Development department.
