Job Title: Math Intervention Manager Wage/Hour Status: Exempt Reports to: Principal of Assigned Campus Pay Grade: Pay is based on the 26-27 teacher pay scale Assignment: Intermediate, Grades 3-5 Revised: 2026.09.16

Terms of Employment: This is a part-time position working less than 19 hours per week

Primary Purpose

Provide coordination, scheduling, instructional guidance, and daily operational oversight for the campus math tutoring and intervention program. Ensure high-quality intervention delivery, maintain student attendance records, and lead tutors in utilizing data-driven instructional strategies to support student academic progress.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

-

High school diploma required.

-

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred.

-

Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned required.

Experience:

-

Previous work with K–8 students in intervention, tutoring, or classroom instructional settings preferred.

-

Experience in scheduling, program coordination, or mentor/tutor leadership preferred.

Special Knowledge/Skills

-

Strong knowledge of math subject matter and K–8 curriculum standards.

-

Ability to analyze student assessment data to plan targeted intervention lessons.

-

Skill in training and guiding tutors in research-based instructional strategies.

-

Proficiency in establishing and maintaining organized attendance tracking systems.

-

Strong organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Major Responsibilities and Duties

Tutor Assignment & Operational Oversight:

-

Match and assign tutors to specific grade levels, time slots, and student cohorts based on program needs.

-

Oversee all daily intervention sessions to guarantee complete coverage across all designated groups.

Ensure tutors maintain designated student-to-tutor ratios during active instruction.

Instructional Planning & Tutor Training:

-

Use performance data to plan intervention lessons using district-approved resources.

-

Train tutors in research-based instructional strategies and effective lesson delivery.

-

Guide tutors in preparing materials that accommodate diverse student learning styles and needs.

-

Ensure subject matter presentation complies with guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency, board policies, and administrative regulations.

Attendance Tracking & Log Administration:

-

Establish and maintain an efficient attendance tracking program for all intervention groups.

-

Review daily tutor logs and verify accuracy prior to submission.

-

Review and sign tutor timesheets prior to final submission to campus administration.

-

Assist with maintaining all physical and computerized reports, records, and documentation required by district policies.

Communication & Professional Collaboration:

Establish and maintain open lines of communication with tutors, teachers, parents, and campus principals.

Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to modify intervention activities as needed for targeted students.

Maintain professional, constructive relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.

Compliance & Other Duties:

Ensure student behavior management adheres to the Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.

-

Keep informed of and comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies.

-

Perform other duties as assigned by campus administration.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversee daily session scheduling, assignment, attendance tracking, and log reviews for campus Math Tutors.

Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions.

Prolonged sitting; occasional standing, stooping, bending, pulling, pushing, and twisting.

Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching.

Occasional light lifting and carrying of textbooks, media equipment, or instructional materials.

Tools/Equipment Used: Personal computer, printer, copier, and audiovisual equipment.
