In order to Friedrichshafen, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Simulation & Modelling Engineer (d/f/m).
The Simulation & Modelling division includes departments in the UK, France and Germany and represents a core competence for simulator development for spacecraft platforms, payloads and equipment.
In the area of simulators, the department is responsible for producing the infrastructure that enables successful spacecraft avionics programs. Therefore, the department is looking for an experienced, talented and creative Simulation & Modelling Engineer (d/f/m) who is flexible, self-motivated and hardworking.

Your tasks and responsibilities
-
Design and development of simulators and simulation models for satellite systems.
-
Creation of test procedures and test plans.
-
Implementation and execution of automatic and manual component-tests, integration-tests and system-tests.

Definition and creation of software releases.

Provide support to the simulator users
Desired skills and qualifications
-
Degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline.
-
Experience in Simulation and Modelling.
-
Object Oriented analysis & design using UML (or similar)
-
Experience in the development of desktop tools using a client/server architecture.

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English.

Knowledge of machine-to-machine communication protocols
-
Strong software development process knowledge

A good knowledge of development domains, frameworks and utilities (DevOps)

Excellent Knowledge on C++ & Java
-
Experience working with Unix/Linux and Windows Operating Systems

Will be positively considered experience on: SpaceWire, MilSTD 1553, ECSS PUS, CAN, Knowledge in spacecraft avionics systems, Knowledge in design of numerical and hybrid simulators design, Experience in Simulation and Modelling
