Multimedia Specialist wanted for a position in the San Diego, CA area.
This position is for a 6 (six) month period. Compensation for this time frame will be between 45k to 55K based on experience.
Requires an organized and detail-oriented team player that has the ability to take ownership of their projects from concept to completion in the area of graphic design with some photography and videography skills.
Applicant must have ability to express a variety of visual styles, maintain excellent attention-to-detail and effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Workload is approximately graphics, photo, and video.
Graphics work includes the production of new creative and edit existing templates to include brand development, visual presentations, logos, brochures, exhibits and signage, posters, interactive presentations, large format printing, conference and event materials, animations and other digital and print collateral for a wide range of mediums.
Produce final products such as posters, building signage and nameplates using in-house materials such as foam core, matboard and various display materials.
Archiving all original unclassified artwork monthly and organizing their files in accordance with department procedures in a master file located on a shared server.
Ensure that all work produced are quality control inspected in accordance with Quality Control Procedures.
Review/QCs own work for items that include, but are not limited to: design quality, clarity, color, spelling, grammar, spacing, loose mountings, raw edges, and any customer specifications.
For photography services, the Multimedia Specialist is responsible for supporting photography services. Must be able to adapt to a multitude of shooting situations on-location (indoors and outdoors). Photography post production is yet another component to the job. Specialist will regularly use Adobe Photoshop to edit and create images.
For videography services the Multimedia Specialist is responsible for handling the duties of Writer, Camera Operator, and Editor. Applicant having a working knowledge, in operating professional video cameras with good shooting instincts and the operation of editing software (Adobe Premier and/or After Effects) is a plus.
The Multimedia Specialist works efficiently on both individual and team projects, as well as possess excellent communication and customer service skills.

Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design with strong portfolio (only resumes with a link to their portfolio will be considered)
Must be able to favorably pass a government background check
Intermediate/Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills (specifically in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier, After Effects and Acrobat), as well as Microsoft Office Suite (specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word); Proficient on a Windows-based PC
Broad understanding of composition, logo design, color theory, imagery, typography, space, scale and grid systems
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
Position may be subject to random drug testing
Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
Shift work and emergency overtime may be required
Position is contingent on applicant’s ability to successfully obtain a favorable government background check.
