As part of the Visual Information Support Services (VISS) Graphic Designers support a team of visual information specialists providing visual solutions for NAWCTSD, CPE ST3, AFAMS, and PMTRSYS. Compensation for this position is an annual salary of $53,000.00 to $55,000.00.
Consideration Requirements:
Intermediate/Advanced Adobe Creative Cloud skills (specifically in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat), as well as Microsoft Office Suite (specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio. Only resumes with a link to their portfolio or portfolio provided will be considered.
Must be able to favorably pass a government background check
Broad understanding of composition, logo design, color theory, imagery, typography, space, scale, and grid systems
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
Position may be subject to random drug testing
Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
Shift work and emergency overtime may be required
General Description:
Print work — no social media, web, photo, or video requirements
Demonstrates great communication skills, organization, and exemplary customer service
Requires an organized and detail-oriented team player that with the ability to take ownership of their projects from concept to completion
Expresses a variety of visual styles, maintain excellent attention-to-detail skills and effectively works on multiple projects simultaneously
Design work includes the production of new creative and edit existing templates to include brand development, visual presentations, logos, brochures, exhibits and signage, posters, interactive presentations, conference, and event materials for a wide range of mediums
Provides graphics support for small- and large-scale events to include brochures, presentations, invitations, and signage and event coverage
Produces final products such as posters, building signage and nameplates using in-house materials such as foam core, matboard and various display materials; able to lift heavy materials up to 50lbs
Ensures that all graphics projects are quality control inspected in accordance with Graphics Dept. Quality Control Procedures
Reviews/QCs own work for items that include, but are not limited to design quality, clarity, color, spelling, grammar, spacing, loose mountings, raw edges, and any customer specifications
Works efficiently on both individual and team projects
Performs other duties, as assigned
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday through Friday
