Description and Requirements
Role Overview
Motorola Mobility, a Lenovo Company, creates groundbreaking, innovative and high-quality products designed and built with the global customer in mind. The Customer Experience team is an organization within Lenovo that focuses on bringing user and market insights to support strategic to tactic decisions around the design and marketing of our products and services.
We are looking for an experienced consumer marketing researcher with a solid foundation in marketing research methodologies, strong project management skills and the ability to drive actions and impact decisions based on consumer insight.
Key Responsibilities – B7

Manage multi-country marketing research studies (research brief, agency management, questionnaire design, analysis, concise reporting and presentations), which include but are not limited to global brand tracking, consumer online studies, KPI tracking/reporting, product concept evaluations, etc.– mostly quantitative, some qualitative studies.

Run all aspects of Motorola’s global buyer satisfaction program from operations, dashboarding, product/country summary reports, participating/running on-going meetings to share CSAT results.

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to communicate results and insights, as well as track actions taken.

Serve as an advisor to internal working teams (marketing, product, strategy and sales) to determine research needs, interpret research findings and leverage insights in support of key business decisions.

Work with research agencies and internal business partners in designing and managing studies, including scope, budget and schedule.

Synthesize consumer insights on topical areas across studies to tell a compelling story.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum of 5+ years of marketing research experience required
-
Master’s degree in marketing research/related field or MBA
-
Experience managing both quantitative & qualitative studies globally
-
Experience with customer satisfaction programs, brand tracking studies, conjoint methodologies, large-scale online studies preferred

Excellent research project management skills

Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills – ability to translate clients’ business questions/needs into focused research studies
-
Strong communication skills – outstanding written, oral and presentation – concisely and effectively; ability to interact with senior leaders

Both agency and client-side experience preferred

Previous technology industry experience a plus
