Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance & Tax Executive to manage the company’s daily accounting operations, financial reporting, cash flow and tax compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with management, auditors, tax agents and relevant departments to ensure accurate financial records and effective financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Finance
- Manage full-set accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, credit notes and other accounting documents.
- Monitor client payments and follow up on outstanding accounts.
- Process payments to suppliers, freelancers, talents, influencers and other service providers.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash-flow reports.
- Monitor company expenses, operating costs and project budgets.
- Track the revenue, costs and profitability of media campaigns, productions and individual projects.
- Assist management with budgeting, financial forecasting and cost-control planning.
- Maintain proper records of contracts, invoices, receipts and supporting documents.
Taxation and Compliance
- Coordinate corporate tax, SST, withholding tax, e-Invoice and other applicable tax matters.
- Ensure the timely and accurate submission of tax documents and statutory filings.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, banks and government authorities.
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents for audits and tax submissions.
- Monitor changes in Malaysian accounting and tax requirements and advise management on their operational impact.
- Ensure financial transactions comply with internal policies and applicable regulations.
Payroll and Internal Controls
- Assist with payroll preparation, staff claims, commissions and allowances.
- Coordinate statutory contributions and payroll-related documentation when required.
- Develop and improve financial procedures, approval processes and internal controls.
- Maintain the confidentiality of the company’s financial, employee and client information.
- Perform other finance, accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- LCCI, Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field.
- At least 2–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
- Experience in handling full-set accounts is preferred.
- Familiarity with Malaysian taxation, SST, e-Invoice and statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in the media, advertising, entertainment, influencer or creative industry is an advantage.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Organised, detail-oriented and able to meet reporting deadlines.
- Able to work independently and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
- Good command of Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia is preferred.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
