Job Role : Model In Loop (MIL) Engineer

Mode of Hiring- 6 months contract position
Job Summary-
The Model In Loop (MIL) Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of the of HVDC Controls & Protection Application team's activities on time / as per Program Schedule through proper coordination of NPI and Delivery department. The role involves power systems understanding and software development and debugging skills of the HVDC controls and protection system. Job Description Essential responsibilities:
- Develop and implement MIL (model in the loop) Test cases in MATLAB Simulink environment.
- Review results against design requirements.
- Strongly support Lessons Learned creation and document issues faced.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) to develop HVDC configuration as reference Products.
- Support continual improvement by following Lean Principals.
- Run regression test cases on a regular basis.
- Generate report on test results.
- Ensure the product can be used in its operational environment effectively.
- Update test scripts based on bugs and changes/upgrades in the system.
- Maintain and upgrade test environment as needed.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Engineering degree or equivalent including power systems and power electronics subjects or proven equivalent knowledge and experience in HVDC business.
- Experience in the position of Verification Engineer in High Voltage field, with experience as a Control & Protection design Engineer.
- Good knowledge of overall HVDC system including control and protection system is essential.
- Experience of developing and working with Simulink models is essential including knowledge of Overall HVDC System Operational Behaviour.
- Fluency in English language.
Desired Characteristics
- Experience in writing Matlab Simulink scripts and test harness acceptance criteria.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to interpretate and work with HVDC System, plant modelling and controllers' implementation in Simulink.
- Experience in Validation and Verification.
