Veyda is an AI-native health intelligence platform. We bring labs, medical records, wearables, genetics, nutrition, and everyday lifestyle context into one health record that belongs to the member for life, and reason across it in plain language with named sources and evidence. We’re hiring a founding engineer to help take Veyda from an ambitious early product to something trusted and used at scale.
About the role
You’ll work directly with the founder across native iOS, backend, and our AI architecture. You’ll help set the framework, standards, and quality bar that shape how we build for years to come.
What you’ll do
- Build the iPhone app in Swift and SwiftUI, from the conversational AI to health tracking to the in-app marketplace and concierge experiences.
- Ship across the stack: backend services, provider and wearable integrations, and the multi-model AI architecture that powers our reasoning, memory, retrieval, and evidence grading.
- Improve the systems that turn medical records, labs, and lifestyle signals into a trustworthy, member-owned health record.
- Shape the engineering framework: architecture, code review, CI, observability, and how we build with AI coding tools without lowering the quality bar.
- Bring a strong product voice. Form opinions from real usage, prove them in the app, and iterate quickly.
You are
- Fluent in Swift, SwiftUI, and Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines. Product feel matters as much as code quality.
- An AI-native engineer. Modern coding agents are your default environment. You direct AI tools, review their output hard, and know exactly where they fall short.
- Comfortable across frontend, backend, and AI systems. You can hold the whole product in your head and make it coherent.
- Strategic and iterative. You’d rather own an ambiguous problem than execute a clean spec.
- Ambitious, resourceful, and self-directed. Traits over credentials. No specific resume, degree, or years required.
What we’ve built so far
A native iOS app on the App Store, with a conversational AI available inside the app and over iMessage. A multi-model AI architecture with intent routing, persistent memory, retrieval, and a mode that convenes multiple specialist agents on a single question. A member-owned health record connected to over 50,000 providers, more than 10 wearable and app integrations, LOINC-coded lab parsing, and an evidence pipeline drawing on over 25 clinical sources. A curated marketplace of tests, supplements, and protocols for training, nutrition, and recovery.
Veyda’s scope is all of life, not just clinical data. Wellness, lifestyle, sleep, travel, nutrition, and concierge-caliber support are as core to the product as records and labs.
