Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting
📍 Hybrid – 2 days/week in office (Tue/Wed/Thu)
About the Opportunity
Join an established company with a growing finance function and real momentum behind it: active process-improvement initiatives, an expanding SOX program, and a clear runway for someone who wants to help build the financial-reporting function of the future.
Why This Role Is Exciting
- High-impact, high-visibility work — your output goes directly to sponsors and the board every month
- Build for the future — growing SOX implementation and process-improvement initiatives mean expanding scope
- Modern toolkit — a team that embraces AI and technology to work smarter, not harder
What You'll Do
- Own adjusted reporting and add-backs — everything above GAAP, not just SEC reporting
- Prepare all entries supporting adjusted reporting and post them into the proper layer of the financials
- Support consolidations and drive an efficient monthly close cycle
- Build the monthly reporting deck that goes to sponsors and the board
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries, accruals, and reclasses to ensure results land in the proper accounts
- Contribute to process-improvement and SOX/internal-controls initiatives as the function grows
What You Bring
- Senior Accountant level or above title, with industry experience — this is a hands-on, high-volume lift and not a fit for someone coming straight out of public accounting
- Strong experience with month-end close, consolidations, journal entries, adjusted reporting, and financial statements
- Advanced proficiency across the Microsoft Suite — Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Comfort using AI tools to work faster and smarter
- Exceptional organization and a genuine self-starter mentality
- CPA preferred (not required)
