About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Specialist with expertise in invoicing, accounts receivable, and billing operations. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing the end-to-end invoicing cycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in client billing processes, and maintaining healthy collections. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in IT services or staffing environments, particularly those familiar with US, UK, and Canadian markets. The role requires strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring seamless financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating invoices, performing reconciliations, tracking receivables, and supporting month-end closing activities. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Pune, working in the US shift hours from 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. They must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and internal teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential to identify discrepancies and resolve billing issues efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools is required to manage data effectively. Prior experience in client invoicing, billing, and accounts receivable, especially within IT services or staffing sectors, is mandatory. Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting tools is necessary to perform daily financial operations accurately.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include managing the complete invoicing and billing lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate invoice generation based on timesheets, billable hours, and contractual agreements. You will handle accounts receivable activities such as collections, follow-ups, and maintaining aged receivables reports. Performing reconciliations of bank statements, customer accounts, and invoices to ensure data integrity is crucial. Tracking outstanding payments, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining detailed records in accounting software like QuickBooks are vital tasks. You will coordinate with clients, vendors, HR, delivery, and payroll teams to facilitate smooth financial operations. Supporting month-end closing activities and preparing relevant reports will also be part of your responsibilities, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
