We are looking for an experienced Android Software Test Engineer to join a cross-functional engineering team developing next-generation Android-based software solutions within the automotive domain.
In this role, you will contribute to the verification, validation, and test automation of complex software systems. You will work closely with software developers, system engineers, and test specialists to ensure high-quality deliveries through modern testing methodologies and automation practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test cases for Android-based software applications and platforms.
- Create and enhance test automation solutions using Python and pytest.
- Support verification and validation activities, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve testing workflows.
- Validate software functionality across communication interfaces such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and Bluetooth.
- Analyze test results, investigate failures, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.
- Contribute to the development of test frameworks, tools, and verification processes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint activities, reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- 4-7 years of experience in software testing, test automation, or software verification.
- Hands-on experience with Python-based test automation, preferably using pytest.
- Experience executing and maintaining automated tests for Android applications or Android-based platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of software verification principles, test design techniques, and defect management processes.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) or Android Auto.
- Exposure to Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing environments.
- Experience with Appium or similar mobile automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with embedded software systems and ECU architectures.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, or Bluetooth.
- Understanding of automotive standards such as ISO 26262 and Automotive SPICE.
