We're partnering with a fast-growing technology company that is helping leading life sciences organizations unlock the value of their scientific data and accelerate R&D through AI-driven solutions.
This is a highly visible role for someone who enjoys combining scientific expertise, data architecture, software development, and customer engagement. You'll work directly with scientists, technical teams, and business stakeholders to transform complex research workflows into scalable data and AI solutions that drive real-world outcomes.
This is not a traditional architect role. You'll be expected to get hands-on, prototype solutions, engage directly with customers, and help shape how next-generation scientific platforms are used across drug discovery, development, manufacturing, and quality environments. The role requires someone who enjoys solving ambiguous problems, can build credibility with scientific users, and thrives in fast-moving environments.
What you'll be doing:
• Partner directly with scientists and stakeholders to understand research and data challenges
• Design scalable scientific data models and architectures
• Build and deploy Python-based data pipelines and applications
• Integrate laboratory systems such as ELNs, LIMS, and other scientific platforms
• Develop data visualization tools and scientific applications
• Work with AI/ML teams to operationalize advanced scientific use cases
• Prototype solutions, demonstrate outcomes, and drive user adoption
• Influence future product direction through direct customer feedback
• Travel locally to customer sites on a regular basis across the Boston area and wider region as required
We're particularly interested in people who have:
• Strong life sciences domain expertise across drug discovery, preclinical development, CMC, quality, or manufacturing
• Experience designing scalable data architectures and data models
• Hands-on Python development experience
• A track record of delivering AI, machine learning, analytics, or data-driven solutions in cloud environments
• Experience working directly with scientific stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
• A proactive, self-starting approach and comfort working in ambiguous environments
Why consider this opportunity?
You'll join a business operating at the forefront of AI and scientific innovation, working on complex challenges that directly impact how new therapies are discovered and developed. The environment is entrepreneurial, highly technical, and offers significant opportunity to influence products, customers, and the future direction of scientific AI.
If you have a passion for scientific data, enjoy solving difficult problems, and want to help shape the next generation of AI-enabled life sciences platforms, we'd love to hear from you.
