Your code will run on sensors you pass every day on the street: in parking garages, along roads and in public squares. You build, you guide external ML experts, and you help decide where the technology goes next.
For my client, a growing tech company in smart parking and mobility data active in several European countries, I'm looking for an experienced software engineer.
Salary: €4,500 to €6,000 gross per month, depending on experience, plus a bonus of up to one month's salary.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain the full on-site application stack behind the solutions: the software that tracks in real time whether a object is there.
- Work with external developers and ML experts on the models behind the software, and steer their work.
- Make sure a working prototype becomes scalable, reliable and maintainable.
- Help shape the architecture: which direction we take, what we build ourselves and what we don't.
What you bring
- At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field.
- Strong Python skills, the language you'll build in most.
- Solid engineering practices: CI/CD, testing at multiple levels and code that stays reliable as the system grows.
- An affinity with machine learning. It doesn't need to be your specialism, but it shouldn't scare you off.
- You're just as comfortable talking to a developer as to a client on the phone.
You don't need to tick every box. If you come close, I'd love to hear from you.
Nice to have
- Experience as an application or systems architect, experience with Docker, TensorFlow or PyTorch, AWS or Google Cloud.
