HEXA GmbH is expanding its automotive wire-harness machinery and automation business across Europe and is looking for a Technical Business Development Engineer based in Poland to develop the market across Poland and Central & Eastern Europe.
This is a hands-on commercial and technical role combining business development, customer visits and application engineering. You will identify potential customers, understand their manufacturing requirements and develop machinery and automation opportunities from initial contact through technical proposal, quotation and order.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new machinery and automation business across Poland and CEE, particularly Czech Republic and Slovakia.
- Identify and approach automotive wire-harness manufacturers, Tier suppliers and relevant industrial customers.
- Visit manufacturing plants and identify production, capacity and automation requirements.
- Develop opportunities for wire cutting and stripping, crimping and termination, seal processing, terminal insertion, connector assembly, testing and vision systems, ultrasonic welding and customised automation.
- Coordinate technical proposals, quotations and commercial negotiations.
- Work directly with our Asian engineering and manufacturing partners to develop customer-specific solutions.
- Manage projects from initial enquiry through technical evaluation, trials and order.
- Support machinery demonstrations, exhibitions and customer-development activities.
- Coordinate installation, commissioning, training and after-sales requirements with our technical network.
Candidate Profile
- 2–7 years’ experience in automotive manufacturing, industrial automation, machinery, wire-harness production or related engineering.
- Background in automation, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, application or production engineering.
- Wire-processing or automotive harness machinery experience is highly desirable.
- Strong technical understanding combined with a commercial and business-development mindset.
- Confident visiting factories and communicating with engineering, production, purchasing and management teams.
- Professional English required.
- Mandarin Chinese is highly desirable for direct coordination with our Asian engineering partners.
- Polish language is an advantage.
- Based in Poland and willing to travel regularly across Poland and CEE.
- Highly organised, reliable and punctual, with strong ownership of customer follow-up and project deadlines.
