Systems Safety Engineer (Electronics) - BW Area - Up to €95,000 (d / m / w)
Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to all applicable legal, regulatory, and customer-driven product safety requirements across the entire lifecycle of products
- Actively contribute to development and project teams, working closely with quality management to embed safety considerations into product design and execution
- Prepare, update, and review safety-related documentation, including technical files, risk assessments, and safety concepts
- Plan and coordinate certification processes and oversee product safety testing, including for externally sourced components
- Deliver training sessions, track regulatory developments, and provide regular reporting on product safety matters to senior management
Desired Skills and Experience
- Completed a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar
- 5+ years of professional experience in product safety regulations, CE compliance, and applicable national and international standards
- Experience in specifying and assessing safety requirements for in-house developments, manufactured products, and supplier components
- Knowledge (and ideally experience) in testing methodologies and tools
- Exposure to defense or regulated environments
- Fluency in German & English is mandatory
- Candidates must be clear of any government, defense, or security-related employment restrictions
