Job Description
Project Manager - Global IT, AI & Data Analytics Programs (Intercontinental Markets)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and outcome-driven Project Manager to support strategic IT, AI, Data Analytics, Medical Affairs, and Digital Transformation initiatives across Gilead's Intercontinental Markets. This role will manage a portfolio of projects spanning multiple geographies, business functions, and stakeholders while ensuring alignment with enterprise IT strategy and business priorities.
The Project Manager will act as a central coordination lead across regions, driving roadmap execution, AI adoption, Copilot expansion, stakeholder engagement, budget oversight, governance, and delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Program Management
- Manage and coordinate multiple projects across AI, Data Analytics, Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations, and IT functions.
- Maintain consolidated portfolio roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, risks, and budget tracking.
- Establish governance frameworks and regular executive reporting mechanisms.
- Drive consistent project management practices, templates, KPI tracking, and outcome measurement across markets.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned to business objectives.
AI & Copilot Enablement
- Lead AI and Microsoft Copilot adoption initiatives across global markets.
- Identify country-specific opportunities for AI, automation, digital workplace, and productivity improvements.
- Conduct assessments to understand market needs, pain points, and AI readiness.
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define, prioritize, and execute AI use cases.
- Stay current on emerging AI technologies, Copilot capabilities, AI agents, collaboration tools, and market trends.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a primary liaison between country business teams and centralized IT organizations.
- Facilitate discussions between regional stakeholders and appropriate IT functions to resolve technology challenges.
- Coordinate communication across diverse cultures, geographies, and time zones.
- Build strong partnerships with business, medical affairs, analytics, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital teams.
Market Assessments & IT Transformation
- Conduct assessments across countries to identify operational and technology challenges.
- Evaluate regional pain points related to infrastructure, connectivity, collaboration, data access, and analytics.
- Develop recommendations and implementation roadmaps to address identified gaps.
- Support digital transformation initiatives tailored to market-specific needs.
Financial & Budget Management
- Monitor budgets for projects and programs under Vikram Singh's organization.
- Track project financials, resource utilization, forecasts, and ROI.
- Support annual planning, business case development, and investment prioritization.
- Provide executive-level visibility into portfolio health and spending.
Communications & Governance
- Prepare executive dashboards, steering committee presentations, program updates, and status reports.
- Organize governance forums and stakeholder meetings across regions.
- Facilitate cross-country alignment and drive accountability for deliverables.
- Escalate risks, issues, and dependencies proactively.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- 8+ years of Project or Program Management experience.
- Experience managing global and cross-functional IT programs.
- Strong understanding of AI, Generative AI, Data & Analytics platforms, and Digital Transformation initiatives.
- Proven ability to work effectively across multiple countries, cultures, and time zones.
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships at executive and leadership levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project methodologies.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or Healthcare industries.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot, AI Agents, Microsoft Power Platform, Data Platforms, and Analytics ecosystems.
- Familiarity with Medical Affairs and Commercial Operations business functions.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum certifications.
- Experience managing globally distributed teams.
