The Central Marketing Organization (CMO) inspires, acquires, and engages Microsoft customers & partners by driving integrated marketing strategy and plans to achieve business growth objectives. CMO accelerates the region’s growth agenda by driving customer centric, digitally connected integrated marketing plans aligned to global Marketing strategy and standardized marketing engines. CMO drives connected customer experiences and data driven storytelling, creating Microsoft brand love, and enabling sellers to deliver revenue.CMO Asia is one regional team with the following functions to enable our collective success:

Field Integrated Marketing with deep market and customer expertise to inform plans and deliver impact in every OU. Within Field Marketing, experienced Marketing Directors or Field Integrated Marketing Leaders in every OU (Operating Unit i.e. Area/Market) to represent and lead marketing end-to-end to the business.

Commercial Solution Area (CSA) Integrated Marketing with deep alignment to mainstream plays and regional scope.

The Field Integrated Marketing Manager (Field IMM) leads integrated marketing strategies and plans leveraging and scaling global and regional go-to-market approaches and augmenting with local activities to deliver customer experiences that drive business outcomes (including customer acquisition, nurture and consumption). You will be known as the marketing expertise in your Solution Area in the OU, using data and insights to ensure positioning and messaging is clear, distinctive and differentiated by audience and educates our customers on how they can achieve more with Microsoft products. You are an evangelist of marketing transformation, responsible for landing the cutting-edge marketing innovations being developed at Microsoft for your region. You will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills advising Sales and Marketing leaders on marketing strategy. As an outstanding advocate for connected sales and marketing, you will partner with the OU Marketing Director to drive the connection (RoB) between leaders in the OU across Sales and Marketing, helping OU stakeholders understand the impact marketing is driving and inspiring sellers to take action on marketing signals. You will work with Integrated Marketers and Marketers across Asia and as part of your CSA community, contributing to learnings and optimization by leveraging and sharing good practices and providing feedback on learnings from your region.This role requires an ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and often at times ambiguous. The candidate will operate with a growth mindset, embrace change when it arises (agility and flexibility are key), and at times will be asked to step outside of their role swim lane to work on projects aligned to the areas of greatest need and impact. Responsibilities

Marketing Operations

Runs the rhythm of connection (RoC) with regional CSA/COE peers, ENT and SME&C OUs, corporate integrated marketing teams, corporate event architecture and production teams, and E&E teams to ensure alignment and adoption of E&E strategies and messaging. Maintains and reviews marketing-related spending against cascaded budget within +/- 1%. Assists with any marketing budget or spend management governance, while leveraging operational excellence tooling and AI planning solutions (e.g. Marketing Planning Tool, Budget Planning Tool). Ensures campaign delivery (including events) is consistent with marketing plan and is progressing appropriately. Executes standardized, scalable, compliant, and efficient marketing execution by leveraging global capabilities, engines, and tools via Marketing Service Central (MSC) in partnership with E&E stakeholders. Coordinates with an extended network of partners/regions on the influence approach and the transfer of knowledge. Coordinates all active Marketing agency partnerships, workflows and performance reviews throughout the fiscal year. Identifies use cases for innovation, directly consulting with E&E and Corporate on MarTech developments, and ensuring impactful implementation.

Marketing Planning and Execution

Develops and implements integrated marketing plans aligned to targeted business outcomes and marketing engagement goals for a set of business areas, and both leverages and documents the approved marketing plans of record in the marketing planning tool (MPT).. Collaborates with regional and/or local teams including, but not limited to Regional Integrated Marketing Managers, Customer Solution Area (CSA) Leads, Go-To-Market (GTM) Managers, Sales, Communications, Finance, Business Operations, and Marketing centers of excellence (CoEs) to establish the appropriate marketing plan. Aligns to prioritized solution plays and leverages regionally and/or globally available programs. Ensures local marketing plan leverages Global Marketing Engines & Experiences (E&E), corporate integrated marketing teams, corporate event architecture and production strategy, execution frameworks, and marketing technology (MarTech) capabilities to drive business priorities (e.g., customer adds, lead generation) via local marketing engines (e.g., digital, social, email, events). Aligns marketing tactics to marketing objectives (e.g., acquisition, nurture, re-engagement) and relevant metrics. Collaborates with E&E teams, corporate integrated marketing teams, corporate event architecture and production teams, regional peers and area CSA and Enterprise (ENT) and Small and Medium Enterprises and Corporate (SME&C) operating unit (OUs) stakeholders to align Marketing plans to E&E strategy, capabilities, and engines. Advocates for E&E and Corporate integrated marketing plans, ensuring stakeholders understand the value delivered globally and locally. Plans and executes in alignment with regional marketing frameworks, while empowering local adaptation. Develops and uses playbooks, and shares good practices across a set of areas. Independently informs, optimizes, manages, and may plan marketing budgets, ensuring 100% compliance across all stages of budget management.

Delivers and optimizes marketing plan based on insights and local market knowledge. Leverages and further interprets reports and analyses of customer metrics for their impact on the local market. Leverages corporate customer targeting, segmentation tools, and various metrics to provide recommendations to continually update and improve customer experiences (e.g., optimize segments, spend, performance, improve digital channels). Aligns end-to-end marketing plan with critical company focuses such as privacy, accessibility, and compliance. Proactively engages with local sales and GTM teams to increase visibility and execution of local marketing plan. Independently works cross functionally with GTM to accelerate pipeline outcomes as the result of an event or activity. Supports Sales Enablement to ensure seller engagement in demand generation as well as activity follow-up and signal conversion. Lands local events that are aligned to the global-event framework, leveraging appropriate target lists and digital tools. Leverages AI-driven tools and collaborates across teams to develop, interpret, and act on marketing strategies and insights that drive measurable business outcomes. Incorporates inclusive marketing and accessibility principles, good practices, and tools in the execution of marketing initiatives.

Measurement

Analyzes marketing performance and marketing spend reports, to identify and share insights that may affect marketing and business planning decision making through a regular rhythm of business (ROB) of reporting and business review meetings. Independently understands the context and needs of group-specific stakeholders, and ties business context to key performance indicators (KPIs). Provides data-driven insights leveraging available E&E tools and dashboards to optimize marketing strategy and delivery. Takes action based on insights from corporate data, local market qualitative and quantitative feedback. Connects marketing activities to sales pipeline, customer mindshare, and business outcomes. Connects data insights with deep knowledge of local market trends, using available E&E tools, dashboards, and local market insights to inform decisions and optimize strategy. Promotes local adoption and usage of global available tools and processes. Drives consistent feedback loops within the region on E&E analytical tools or dashboards, and ensures consistent communication stream with E&E stakeholders. Collaborates with the E&E team to create and improve tools if additional needs are uncovered. Collaborates with GTM to define target accounts and to ensure a post event/activity enablement plan is in place to drive business outcomes.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years integrated marketing (e.g., campaign planning and execution, digital marketing), event management, program management, marketing operations (including campaign reporting and analysis), or related work experience OR equivalent experience.

Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.

Additional or preferred qualifications

Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 6+ years experience in integrated marketing (e.g., campaign planning and execution, digital marketing), event management, program management, marketing operations (including campaign reporting and analysis), or related work OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 8+ years integrated marketing (e.g., campaign planning and execution, digital marketing), event management, program management, marketing operations (including campaign reporting and analysis), or related work experience OR equivalent experience.

Digital Marketing Strategy and Optimization

Leveraging tools and data to derive business/customer insights that are incorporated into channel planning. Developing and implementing comprehensive digital marketing strategies across multiple channels that optimize the customer journey, and drive business outcomes.

Driving Effective Marketing Stakeholder Partnerships

Collaborating effectively with all internal stakeholders and peers by fostering relationships, resolving conflicts, and facilitating cross-team communication to ensure mutual success and satisfaction. Partnering with external stakeholders to amplify reach, co-create value, and drive commercial impact.

Improving Marketing Impact

Identifying and evaluating problems, utilizing relevant information and AI tools to help marketers to be more effective, and proactively implementing the good possible solutions in a constantly changing business environment.

Optimizing Insight-Driven Marketing Messaging

Expressing and communicating information in a meaningful, impactful, and engaging manner to amplify Microsoft’s message and voice in the market. Advancing marketing initiatives and ensuring marketing strategies are embraced by target audiences, leveraging AI tools where possible. Enhances insight-driven marketing activities and communications by leveraging relevant insights in a compelling manner and aligning them to broader organizational objectives.

Streamlining Integrated Marketing Operations

Coordinating marketing operations by managing programs and project. Emphasizing continuous improvement, budgeting precision, and delivery excellence to ensure marketing tactics effectively resonate with customer needs. Maintaining quality assurance and compliance with security standards to drive sustainable business success.
