We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Head of NHS Finance to join the Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) at a pivotal time for public sector finance.

This is a high-impact leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape financial strategy as a key member of the leadership team, influence decision-making, and directly support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services across the region.

About The Role

Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer within the HSCP you will play a key role in ensuring robust financial management and supporting strategic priorities across clinical and corporate services.

You will

- Lead the delivery of a high-quality financial management service

- Act as a trusted business partner to senior stakeholders

- Support the development and implementation of financial strategies

- Drive financial sustainability and performance improvement

- Lead and develop a motivated finance team

This is a dynamic role in a complex environment, ideal for someone who thrives on challenge and influence.

About You

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate

- Significant experience in a finance leadership role

- Strong understanding of financial management and planning

- Excellent partnership working skills

- Ability to influence and work effectively with senior stakeholders

- Experience of leading and developing teams

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Essential

- CCAB qualification (or equivalent)

- Experience within the NHS or wider public sector

The Health and Social Care Partnership covers the whole of the Argyll & Bute area including many islands. The area offers an exceptional quality of life with easy access to stunning countryside and coastline. The HSCP supports staff to work on a hybrid basis.
