About The Role
The Financial Analyst supports corporate finance and accounting operations across forecasting, management reporting, and financial analysis. The role works with US GAAP-based financial data, maintains reporting models, and translates business activity into clear analysis for finance and operational leaders.
You will partner with accounting, FP&A, compliance, and business teams to improve reporting accuracy, strengthen SOX controls, and deliver timely insight into performance, cash flow, and operating trends. The role is based in Atlanta, GA and is remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain monthly forecasting, budgeting, and variance-analysis models in Excel and financial planning tools
- Prepare management reporting packages covering revenue, operating expenses, headcount, cash flow, and key financial metrics
- Analyze actuals versus budget and forecast, investigate material variances, and document drivers for finance leadership
- Reconcile financial data across the general ledger, subledgers, ERP systems, and business reporting tools
- Support quarterly and annual close activities, including schedules, journal-entry analysis, and audit requests under US GAAP
- Maintain SOX control documentation, perform control testing support, and track remediation of identified issues
- Develop recurring dashboards and ad hoc analyses using SQL, Excel, or BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
What We Are Looking For
- 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, audit, or a related corporate finance function
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Query, financial modeling, and advanced formulas; familiarity with SQL is preferred
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Experience with ERP and reporting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or similar platforms
- Strong attention to detail, analytical judgment, and ability to manage recurring reporting deadlines across cross-functional stakeholders
- Bonus: Experience with SOX, SEC reporting support, public-company audits, Power BI or Tableau, and progress toward CPA or CFA certification
