Job Description
We are seeking a senior Enterprise / Solution Architect to support a large-scale technology organization across cloud architecture, application modernization, AI enablement, data platforms, and developer experience. This role will work closely with architecture and engineering leadership to define standards, guide solution design, drive modernization initiatives, and enable the adoption of AI-powered development practices.
The consultant will contribute across architecture strategy, technical governance, reusable architecture assets, enterprise AI patterns, cloud and data platforms, and developer enablement. The ideal candidate is hands-on enough to work with engineering teams while also being comfortable engaging with senior technology stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture Governance & CoE Operations: Support Architecture Center of Excellence activities, including agenda development, technical content, architecture reviews, decision tracking, standards, and follow-up actions.
- Reference Architectures & Standards: Create and maintain reference architectures, design patterns, technical standards, guidelines, and best practices across Azure, .NET, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, integration, and AI technologies. Documentation should be structured for both human consumption and AI/coding-agent consumption.
- Architecture Strategy: Partner with enterprise and technology architecture leadership to align application, cloud, data, AI, and integration strategies while reducing duplication and promoting reusable enterprise patterns.
- Application Modernization: Provide solution and application architecture for new and modernized platforms leveraging Azure, .NET, microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, containers, Microsoft Fabric, and Power Platform.
- AI & Agentic Architecture: Define and implement enterprise AI patterns using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, Power Platform Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility, RAG, agentic architectures, and reusable AI components.
- Data Platform Architecture: Provide architectural guidance across Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory, Real-Time Intelligence, Microsoft Purview, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Azure PostgreSQL, and ADLS Gen2. Support data governance, lineage, security, and domain-oriented data architecture.
- Developer Experience & SDLC: Help shape AI-enabled developer and architecture workflows using GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Claude Code, MCP, and SDLC automation tools.
- AI Developer Enablement: Develop and promote Claude Skills, MCP servers, prompt libraries, reusable automation components, code accelerators, and AI-assisted development patterns.
- Architecture & Engineering Councils: Participate in architecture and engineering governance forums, ensuring architecture strategy is translated effectively into engineering execution.
- Architecture Review Support: Prepare and review architecture submissions, technical design documents, architecture diagrams, decision records, and supporting implementation artifacts.
- Architecture Advisory & Office Hours: Work directly with development and engineering teams to review proposed solutions, resolve architecture issues, make design decisions, and provide technical guidance.
- Documentation & Knowledge Management: Create and maintain architecture documentation using Confluence and Markdown, ensuring artifacts are current, discoverable, version-controlled, reusable, and suitable for AI-assisted development workflows.
