Job Description:
- Small civil litigation firm in downtown Seattle is looking for an Associate Attorney with at least five years' experience in civil litigation.
- Applicant must be capable of handling cases throughout the litigation process with supervision.
- Experience with motion practice essential.
- The position will be responsible for civil litigation cases.
Job Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients in your office to discuss legal issues and to devise litigation strategies
- Research cases by interviewing witnesses, reading depositions, reviewing evidence and speaking with the client to determine the best strategy for their legal matter
- Draft motions and other papers. Conduct discovery. Depose party opponents, experts and third parties
- Attend all hearings on behalf of clients and argue in support of motions and papers.
- Conduct hearings and trials as required
- Assist clients with executing settlement agreements
