About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Next.js Lead Developer to drive the design, development, and delivery of high-performance web applications. This role requires strong technical expertise in modern frontend technologies, leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
You will be responsible for building scalable applications, mentoring developers, and ensuring best practices in code quality, performance, and architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of web applications using Next.js, React, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance frontend architectures
- Collaborate with backend teams, designers, and product managers to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, SEO, and performance
- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development workflows
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior/mid-level developers
- Integrate APIs, third-party services, and headless CMS platforms
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design
- Troubleshoot and debug complex production issues
- Stay updated with the latest frontend and Next.js ecosystem trends
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in frontend development
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Next.js and React
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
- Experience with SSR (Server-Side Rendering), SSG (Static Site Generation), and API routes
- Solid understanding of web performance optimization and SEO best practices
- Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
- Experience with version control tools like Git
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
