We are seeking an Experienced Data Engineer on behalf of a prominent player in the digital marketing technology and adtech space. This company relies on high-volume, real-time data to drive performance for top global brands—and they need a skilled engineer to strengthen their core data platform.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end data lifecycle: building resilient ingestion pipelines across major ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta, Amazon Ads, GA4), harmonizing complex multi-currency and attribution metrics, and designing cost-efficient data models in BigQuery. You will work closely with marketing analysts, cloud engineers, and business stakeholders while utilizing modern DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
If you are looking for an opportunity to lead technical implementations, work with cutting-edge GCP tools, and solve real-world data engineering challenges at scale, this is the role for you.
Main Responsibilities:
- Build & Scale Data Ingestion: Design robust ingestion pipelines across major adtech and martech APIs (Google Ads, DV360, Meta, GA4, Amazon Ads) using REST, GraphQL, file transfers (SFTP/S3/GCS), and native transfer services.
- Data Quality & Harmonization: Standardize multi-platform data across varying currencies, time zones, and attribution models while implementing validation checks for schema drift and late-arriving data.
- Orchestration & Modeling: Create clean, maintainable SQL-based transformations and orchestrate workflow pipelines using dbt or Dataform.
- Cloud Infrastructure as Code: Provision, automate, and manage scalable cloud resources using Terraform.
- CI/CD & Monitoring: Build automated CI/CD deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions while maintaining cloud monitoring and alerting systems (focused on GCP).
- Streaming & Real-Time Data: Develop and expand real-time messaging and pipeline architectures using tools like Apache Beam, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, or Kafka.
- Data Privacy & Compliance: Implement privacy-first standards (GDPR/TCF, PII minimization, hashing, consent signals) directly within data workflows.
Core Skills / Experience:
- Experience: 3+ years in Data Engineering, ideally with exposure to adtech, martech, e-commerce, or retail media data ecosystems.
- Data Warehousing & SQL: Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience building cost-optimized, partitioned schemas in GCP BigQuery or AWS Redshift.
- Programming & Frameworks: Proficiency in Python (Pandas, FastAPI, Flask); familiarity with Java is a strong plus.
- DevOps & Automation: Practical experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
- Soft Skills & Autonomy: Strong problem-solving ownership, self-directed execution, and the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to marketing, product, and engineering teams.
