System Architect – Communication Systems

We are working with an innovative technology company seeking an experienced System Architect to design, prototype and integrate advanced communication systems.
Your responsibilities
- Design system-level concepts and architectures for communication systems
- Configure and integrate SoCs, FPGAs and peripherals into complete proof-of-concept systems
- Develop, test and optimise end-to-end prototypes using in-house and partner technologies
- Collaborate closely with R&D teams and external partners on system integration and co-design
- Define and document system architectures, integration processes and reusable reference designs
- Support technical decision-making throughout the development lifecycle
Your profile
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems Engineering or a comparable field
- At least five years of experience in product and system development for communication devices, such as satellite, 5G or Wi-Fi modems
- Strong knowledge of C / C++, Python, Linux and/or real-time operating systems
- Experience with hardware/software co-design for prototypes and proof-of-concept systems
- Practical experience with SoCs, FPGAs and peripheral integration
- Experience integrating third-party software, SDKs and communication protocols, including Ethernet and 5G/6G
- Strong architectural thinking combined with a hands-on, problem-solving approach
- Comfortable working collaboratively within fast-paced R&D environments
- Very good English skills and basic German knowledge
