Senior Data Engineer - E-Commerce Scale-Up
I'm currently working with a high-growth SaaS scale-up in the E-Commerce space who are looking to add a Senior Data Engineer to their growing team.
This is a really interesting opportunity for someone who wants to work on modern data infrastructure whilst also getting exposure to AI initiatives.
The business is scaling quickly, and data is becoming increasingly important across the product — from improving customer experiences to powering new AI-driven capabilities.
What you'll be working on:
🔹 Designing & building scalable data pipelines
🔹 Developing and improving the wider data platform
🔹 Working with large, complex datasets
🔹 Data modelling, quality & reliability
🔹 Working closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science & AI teams
🔹 Supporting new AI / ML initiatives from a Data Engineering perspective
🔹 Helping build the data foundations for use cases around LLMs, RAG, personalisation & intelligent automation
🔹 Having a genuine say in architecture, tooling and engineering best practice
What we're looking for:
✅ Strong commercial Data Engineering experience
✅ Excellent Python & SQL
✅ Experience with modern cloud data platforms
✅ Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift or similar
✅ Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, data modelling & pipelines
✅ Experience with tools such as dbt, Airflow, Dagster or Prefect
✅ Ideally, experience supporting AI / ML projects or exposure to LLMs, RAG, vector databases or embeddings
You don't need to be an ML Engineer — we're looking for a strong Data Engineer who is interested in the direction the industry is heading and wants to play a role in building the infrastructure that enables AI.
