We’re working with an innovative, early-stage HealthTech company developing technology designed to improve healthcare workflows and how clinical information is managed.
They’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with hands-on Epic EHR integration experience to join their growing engineering team in New York.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys working across the full stack, solving complex integration challenges and taking ownership from initial design through to production.
The Opportunity
A key focus of the role will be the continued development and integration of the platform with Electronic Health Record systems, with hands-on Epic Systems experience being essential.
You’ll work across backend services, frontend applications, APIs, databases and external integrations, while contributing to technical architecture and the continued evolution of the product.
You’ll be joining a smaller, fast-moving environment where engineers have genuine ownership and can have a direct impact on the technology and product.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and maintain production-grade full-stack applications
- Develop backend services, APIs and external integrations
- Build modern web applications and user interfaces
- Design, develop and maintain integrations with Epic Systems / Epic EHR
- Work across authentication, authorisation, data exchange and data mapping
- Take integrations from technical design through development, testing and production
- Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making
- Troubleshoot complex technical and integration issues
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to deliver new functionality
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong full-stack engineering background
- Hands-on experience integrating with Epic Systems / Epic EHR – essential
- Strong Python experience
- Strong JavaScript / TypeScript experience
- Experience with React or another modern frontend framework
- Experience building and deploying production software
- Good understanding of software architecture and system design
- Experience working with APIs and external system integrations
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
- Ability to take ownership of technical projects from design through production
The Key Requirement
Epic EHR integration experience is essential.
