We're recruiting experienced Aluminium Welders to join a leading manufacturing business producing high-quality fabricated assemblies for safety-critical applications.
The Role
You'll be responsible for welding aluminium components to engineering drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), ensuring all work meets the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding of aluminium assemblies (TIG/MAG experience beneficial)
- Working from engineering drawings and WPS
- Producing high-quality welds to BS EN ISO 10042 standards
- Visual inspection of completed welds
- Dressing and finishing welds to specification
- Completing production documentation
- Working safely in line with HSE requirements
What We're Looking For
- Time-served Welder (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Previous experience welding aluminium within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Strong MIG welding experience (TIG desirable)
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Knowledge of welding quality standards and inspection requirements
- Experience working to high-quality manufacturing standards
Desirable
- Previous experience within defence, military or other high-integrity manufacturing environments
- NDT inspection experience (Visual, DPI, MPI or RT)
- Experience with robotic or mechanised welding systems
