Fulcronix is looking for a highly skilled and proactive Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our growing QA team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in automation testing, CI/CD integration, AI-assisted development tools, and test management platforms. This role requires hands-on expertise in building scalable automation frameworks, integrating automated testing pipelines, and collaborating closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
The candidate should be passionate about modern QA practices, test optimization, and leveraging AI-powered tools to improve productivity and software quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web applications and APIs
- Create and execute automated test scripts using Playwright and other modern automation tools
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Integrate automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment validation and release quality
- Utilize AI-powered tools such as Amazon Q and Kiro to improve testing efficiency, debugging, and development workflows
- Work closely with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and testing needs
- Manage and track test cases, defects, and QA processes using Jira and Qmetry
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar platforms
- Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and provide detailed defect reports
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA best practices and process improvements
- Ensure automation coverage and maintain high-quality standards across projects
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework
- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or Java-based automation frameworks
- Strong knowledge of GitLab CI/CD pipeline integration and automation execution
- Experience working with Jira and Qmetry for test management and defect tracking
- Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Amazon Q and Kiro
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with API automation and testing tools
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
- Experience with database validation and SQL queries
- Understanding of performance testing concepts is a plus
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or other automation tools
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized testing environments
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
- ISTQB or relevant QA certifications are a plus
