Lifecycle Marketing Manager
Location: 100% Remote (PST hours)
Pay Rate: $58-$62/hr depending on experience (W2 and benefit options)
Hours: 40 hours/week
Duration: Through the end of 2026
The Planet Group is seeking a remote Lifecycle Marketing Manager to join our clients, a community-driven platform connecting millions of people worldwide through niche discussions, crowdsourced curation, and user-generated content.
This hands-on Lifecycle Marketing Manager will own and improve the end-to-end funnel for our highest-value prospects and opportunities.
This person will be a dedicated Marketing owner for the high-value motion, responsible for both the content and technical execution. They will write the communications, design the journey logic, build and manage the workflows in HubSpot and Gong, coordinate implementation with sales, marketing operations, and creative, and continuously optimize the funnel based on performance and customer signals.
Lifecycle Marketing Manager Responsibilities:
- Own the high-value journey from lead capture and meeting preparation through sales follow-up, marketing nurture, re-engagement, and activation
- Write and manage pre-meeting, post-meeting, no-show, sales follow-up, and nurture re-engagement emails
- Own and build Gong-triggered communications, monitor the flow for performance, and optimize
- Design nurture paths for leads who do not book, do not attend, go quiet, or are marked closed-lost
- Translate sales outcomes and closed-lost reasons into relevant content and follow-up journeys
- Define audience rules, journey branches, suppressions, handoffs, and timing
- Improve visibility into when and why leads drop out of the sales process
- Develop verticalized and persona-specific messaging for high-value audiences
- Maintain a clear testing roadmap across copy, subject lines, incentives, content, and calls to action
- Track performance across engagement, meetings, setup completion, activation, and reactivation—and use the results to improve the funnel
Lifecycle Marketing Manager Qualifications:
- Strong lifecycle, CRM, or revenue marketing experience in a B2B environment
- Excellent email writing and editing skills
- Experience building nurture programs and multi-step customer journeys
- Familiarity with Gong, HubSpot, or similar sales and marketing systems
- Ability to think strategically about funnel design while executing the details personally
- Strong understanding of sales handoffs, lead stages, suppression logic, and re-engagement
- Highly organized, independent, and comfortable owning ambiguous work
- Strong cross-functional communication and project management skills
