Databricks Specialist - Trainer (Contract)
Outside IR35 | £565-650/day | Cambridge (2 days per week) | Initial 6 Months
We're working with a leading technology organisation looking to engage an experienced Databricks specialist and trainer to help accelerate the adoption of its modern data platform.
This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, application development and stakeholder enablement. You'll be working with teams across the business to establish best practice, improve platform adoption and help drive greater value from a significant investment in Databricks.
This is a highly visible role that would suit someone with deep hands-on Databricks expertise who enjoys working across both technical delivery and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion best practices for application development and platform usage within Databricks.
- Develop reusable assets, frameworks and guidance to support wider platform adoption.
- Partner with data, engineering and business teams to improve ways of working and drive consistency.
- Produce high-quality technical content and documentation to support internal capability growth.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to identify opportunities for platform improvement.
- Support the ongoing evolution of a modern cloud-based data ecosystem.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven track record delivering solutions on Databricks in enterprise environments.
- Strong background across data engineering, analytics or machine learning.
- Comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience driving platform adoption, capability uplift or technical enablement initiatives.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence engineering standards and best practice.
