Full Stack Software Engineer
Arlington Heights, IL - Onsite 4 days a week
About the Opportunity:
Thrively is partnering with an established organization that is modernizing the technology that powers its business. Our client is hiring multiple Full Stack Software Engineers to join a small, collaborative team building and modernizing internal applications used by more than 1,000 employees.
You’ll work across the full stack using C#/.NET, React, SQL and relational databases while helping migrate legacy applications to a modern web environment. The team is also actively incorporating AI-assisted development into how they build, test and deliver software.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Build and maintain full-stack web applications using C#/.NET, React and SQL
• Modernize legacy applications and move them to a modern web-based environment
• Develop across frontend, backend and database layers
• Work directly with internal users to understand business needs and build practical solutions
• Write and maintain automated tests
• Participate in Agile development, daily standups and sprint planning
• Use AI-assisted development tools, including Cursor, as part of the development process
• Collaborate with developers, QA and technology leadership on technical decisions and future development
What We’re Looking For:
• Full-stack web application development experience
• Experience with C#/.NET or a comparable object-oriented development language
• Experience with React or another modern JavaScript framework
• Strong SQL and relational database experience
• Understanding of APIs and modern web application development
• Experience with automated testing and Agile development
• Interest in AI-assisted software development
• Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with business users
• Curious, self-directed and comfortable learning new technologies
