In this role, you will analyze business requirements, configure workflows, and ensure seamless integration between the WMS, ERP, TMS, and hardware systems. You will act as the primary liaison between warehouse operations, internal IT, and software vendors to troubleshoot live operational errors, optimize workflows, and drive new software and warehouse implementation projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the primary point of contact to diagnose and resolve WMS errors, data discrepancies, and interface/integration failures between the WMS and other systems (ERP, TMS, EDI, RF/scanning hardware).

- Monitor overall system performance and proactively identify recurring technical or operational issues before they impact business operations.

- Navigate and utilize WMS interfaces and modules for inventory tracking, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving.

- Confer with clients and operational teams regarding information processing, computation, and workflow needs.

- Project Management & System Configuration:

- Lead and support new system implementation projects, including setup for new warehouse facilities and software modules, in collaboration with IT and Project Managers.

- Map business requirements into functional WMS configurations for core processes, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.

- Gather requirements from business units and effectively translate them for software programmers, developers, and vendors.

- Coordinate and link computer systems within the organization to maximize compatibility and information sharing.

- Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment (ROI) analyses to support leadership decisions on new system implementations.

- Testing, Documentation & Training:

- Diagnose configuration or integration errors, run software modification tests, and escalate complex technical issues to IT or third-party software vendors.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of known issues, workarounds, and resolution steps.

- Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quick-reference guides for key WMS functions.

- Train warehouse staff, supervisors, and end-users on system functionality and industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

- Education & Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Systems Analysis, and/or Project Management.

- Direct experience working within a warehouse or distribution center environment with a primary focus on system analysis.

- Technical & Operational Knowledge:

- Proven experience with WMS platforms, SAP, or similar enterprise business systems and sales order management software.

- Basic knowledge of software development and query concepts (e.g., SQL, Java, Visual Basic) and system integration principles.

- Core Competencies:

- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work effectively under time pressure to resolve live operational and system issues.

- Self-starter with proven time-management skills and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data modeling, macros, complex formulas).

- Industry experience in High Tech, Telecom, or Consumer Electronics.

MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field.
