Senior Business Analyst - Agile / SAFe
Location: Dublin ( 2 days a week onsite)
12 month Initial Contract
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a large-scale transformation programme within a complex business and technology environment. The successful candidate will work across business, operations, product, design and technology teams, supporting the delivery of customer and operational improvements within an Agile / SAFe framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive Definition of Ready (DoR) and support the team in achieving Definition of Done (DoD).
- Manage and prioritise product backlogs, including writing and refining user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Gather, analyse and document business requirements to a high standard.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and develop process flows using MS Visio.
- Analyse customer and internal processes, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Support PI Planning, UAT, testing and scheduled releases.
- Maintain requirements traceability, including RTMs, risks, issues and actions.
- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Constructively challenge business assumptions and communicate functional, technical, risk and delivery trade-offs.
- Support the development of project Design Strategy & Plans.
Essential Experience
- 6+ years' Business Analysis experience.
- Strong knowledge of Agile BA methodologies and SAFe.
- Proven experience in backlog management, requirements gathering and user stories.
- Experience with DoR, DoD, RTMs and UAT.
- Strong process mapping skills and experience using MS Visio.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and workshop facilitation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to confidently challenge stakeholders and influence decisions.
- Experience working across business, operations and IT environments.
